Governmental Focal Points for Signatories
Each of the 10 governmental signatories to the Hamilton Declaration has a focal point contact. While the Hamilton Declaration is a non-legally binding political declaration, governmental focal points play an important role in acting as Champions to bring forward proposals designed to keep the health, productivity, and resilience of the Sargasso Sea under review, as well as to develop safeguard measures for its conservation. Governmental focal points meet on a regular basis with the Secretariat, and jointly with the Commission in order to collaborate.
